Scooter Tires and its Manufacturer

One of the most important, and probably the most used parts of a motorcycle would be its tires. There are at least six top scooter tire manufacturers today. Know them all and decide whether you should buy from them or not.

1. Bridgestone. Bridgestone manufactures as many as 13 different types of scooter tires every year. Each of them has different specifications that meet the user's requirements. Price varies greatly from model to model. They classify their tires as front tires and rear tires. The most common feature they integrate to all their models would be the superior weather channeling feature so that they work seamlessly even on wet pavement.

2. Dunlop
Dunlop creates only one set of scooter tires at the moment. And that would be the D305 scooter tire model. It works best with the Yamaha Majesty scooter, though. This model has both the front and the rear tire versions. Each tire cost around $55 after discounts.

3. Michelin
Michelin has come out with at least eight models of scooter tires this year. Their best model is the Michelin Gold Standard tires. The front tire costs around $50. The corresponding rear tire, being a notch thicker and stronger than the front tire version, costs $8 more.

4. Pirelli
If you are on a budget but want good quality tires, you may check out Pirelli's tire line. You can get a scooter tire for less than $20 a piece. The Pirelli SL 26 Scooter Tire is the highly affordable but well designed tire which carries the modern sports oriented tread pattern. It also provides excellent grip as well as superior wet weather performance.

5. Kings
Kings provide another value for your money. They have both tube and tubeless types so you can select the one of your preference. The Kings KT-903 tire is best for high touring speeds. Its treads are designed for maximum grip when braking and cornering.

6. Kenda
The Kenda K313 Scooter Tire has 4 ply rating and is approved for use on highways. Kendra makes their tires adaptable for all weather conditions and has high wear resistance. Most of the tires of Kendra are tube type, although they are now manufacturing some that are tubeless.

These are the six scooter tire manufacturers you should check out when buying tires. These makers have been around for years, so you can almost be assured of good quality tires when you do buy from them.
